Community Art - Business
QYI #1 - Community Art Installations
We are looking for companies, agencies, businesses, or land owners with public-facing space that they would be willing to commit to an art installation that furthers the conversation on human rights, equity, inclusion, mental health, and/or the needs of our community.
We are also looking for entities that can donate services, space, or supplies to the installation and preservation of these art works. We do have some funding thanks to the grant we received, but the more we can collect, the more installations we can do or mental health services we can fund.
Does your business need a mural? Is the lobby or breezeway of your property bland?
If you are at least one of the following:
Washington business
supportive of LGBTQ+ Youth
have space to host an installation or event
able to donate resources to assist this project
Please consider submitting your space or resources for this initiative.
We are partnering with young local artists and businesses to advance community understanding and conversation on issues relevant to LGBTQIA2+ youth.
At the moment, the call is open as we do not have a close date (yet). We are actively recruiting businesses to host and art to install. So spread the word!
Submit your entry by clicking here or on the image to fill out the Google form and upload an image of your submission.
Hope Development Practice was selected along with 12 other agencies in Washington state as recipients of the Pride Foundation's LGBTQ Youth Initiative grant!
We are using these funds to promote young leaders in the LGBTQIA2+ community, assist them in skill and experience development, and further the conversation on social and health issues relevant to our mission to bring safer communities to Washington through healing. We have designed two Queer Youth Initiatives (QYI) thus far, and are seeking participants from the community for these.
Queer Youth Initiative #1 - Community Art Installations - This initiative aims to further the conversation on human rights, equity, inclusion, mental health, and raising awareness around the needs of the LGBTQ communities. Youth will be involved in creating, selecting, installing art as well as recruiting, advertising, and negotiating with local businesses for the installation spaces.
