I believe in the power to heal in a relational context - to feel empowered towards taking ownership of your story, your narrative, your truth. I will hold space for your perspectives, honor your lived experiences, celebrate your accomplishments and together we will co-create your roadmap to achieving your goals. I take an eclectic and trauma-informed approach, often introducing somatic, attachment, and systems lenses. Empowerment, self-compassion and awareness are the foundations of my approach to healing. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Clinical Mental Counseling (CMHC) at Antioch University.
I have experience working with ADHD, ASD, PTSD (and C-PTSD), anxiety, and depression where sometimes it can feel too overwhelming to show up for yourself and others. You may only have energy to wrap to wrap yourself in a warm blanket and sip a hot cup of coffee while you binge on comfort shows. You may find yourself ignoring calls and texts for days or shame spiraling or ruminating on intrusive memories! I avidly support out vibrant LGBTQIA+ community and have experience working with trans and poly identities.
Being an immigrant I understand the culture shock, the stigma of therapy, and feeling pulled between collectivist and individualist values. Being in an interracial relationship I have learnt how to humbly honor each other's beliefs, and values and grow both individually and collectively. As a neurodivergent counselor I use a strengths-based approach to provide affirming care that validates and celebrates your unique strengths and emphasizes self-advocacy.
