I believe that everyone’s story matters and deserves a safe place to be shared. Our stories often carry moments of connection, hope, and growth, but they can also hold pain, and challenges in not only our personal lives but also in our relationships. Carrying all of this alone can feel overwhelming, which is why I see therapy as a space where you don’t have to. I hope to work with people to gain an understanding of their experiences and find new ways of moving towards the life and relationships they want.
I approach therapy with a relational and cultural perspective, considering the influence of family, friendships, intimate partnerships, communities, and personal identities. Every aspect of a person’s identity, and the way those parts intersect with each other, is so important in how I understand their story and the challenges they face. As someone who is mixed race (Filipino and White), I bring my own lived experience of navigating identity into the therapy room, and I strive to create a space where all aspects of who you are are welcomed and valued.
I am just over a year into my master’s program in Couples and Family Therapy at Antioch University New England. I am drawn to experiential and narrative approaches, which emphasize meaning-making, connection, and authenticity. Above all, I aim to create a space where clients feel safe to be themselves and supported in exploring new possibilities for healing and growth.
