he/him
After I graduated with my BA in Sociology at the University of Washington, I quickly found my passion working with children and families. After spending 12 years working in childcare, I decided to pursue my MA in Couples & Family Therapy at Antioch University in Seattle. As someone who has personally benefited from the therapeutic process, I want to be able to provide that support to others.
As a systems thinker, I believe that we are products of our environments, cultures, identities, and familial relationships. I look to work collaboratively with clients in order to identify challenges and discover solutions or ways they would like to change. I believe clients are the experts on their own lived experiences and have the power within to make the changes they want to see come to fruition. I know that it can be difficult to find that power and I want to provide that helping hand as they go along on their journey to a more connected and healthy life.
My approach is integrative, drawing from various therapeutic modalities to best fit each individual's unique needs. I particularly emphasize narrative therapy, helping clients re-author their stories and challenge limiting beliefs. Additionally, I incorporate solution-focused therapy, guiding clients to identify their strengths and resources to achieve their desired outcomes and create positive change.
